What types of trades are there in hockey pools?
OfficePools allows the following Trade types for each of the following NHL pool types:
Box Pool
Box Trade - Replacing a claimed player with an unclaimed player from the same box
Draft Pool
Draft Pick Trade - A trade of draft picks between 2 poolies
Exchange Trade - A trade of players between 2 poolies
Free Agent Trade - Acquiring an unclaimed player from the Free Agent list and releasing an owned player
Reserve Activation - A swap of a player from the Active roster to the Reserve roster
Open Pool
Exchange Trade - A trade of players between 2 poolies
Free Agent Trade - Acquiring an unclaimed player from the Free Agent list and releasing an owned player
Reserve Activation - A swap of a player from the Active roster to the Reserve roster
Box Trade, Exchange Trade, Free Agent Trade, and Reserve Activation all operate the same in terms of how points are handled. The points are kept from the player that was on the Active Roster up until the day of the transaction, and then the poolie only receives the points for the new player from the transaction date onwards.
